Tips on grow plant indoor

Because the weather or other reason, people need to grow plant indoor.
While, grow plant indoor not an easy job, you need to think something
like: room to grow, right temperature, light, water, air and nutrients.

 Room for grow plant

The above ground portions of the plant need space so leaves can expand
and carry out the job of making food. Roots also need room to grow.
Plants growing in small spaces will have their roots crowded, and that
results in smaller amounts of growth.

 Temperature

Most plants like temperatures that most humans like. Some may like
warmer temperatures while others may prefer cooler temperatures for best
growth. It is always good to know where plants come from so you can
make them feel at home. Most plants like to have cooler temperatures at
night and don't like to be in a drafty spot.

 Light

Plants grown indoors like bright light. Windows facing the south or
west have the best light. Try to place the plants close to the window to
take advantage of all the light. The further away from the window, the
darker it becomes. A plant will tell you when it isn't getting enough
light, because its stems will be thin and it will lean toward the light.
If you don't have a bright window, try using grow lights. Remember to
have the light about six inches above the plants and leave it on for
14-16 hours each day. If you have no such Condition to bring light, you
may consider about led grow lights.

 Water

Water is important in the plant's ability to make and move nutrients.
Without water or with too much water, a plant dies. For this reason,
watering is an important part of plant care. Most plants like to be
watered when the soil is slightly dry to the touch. When watering,
moisten the soil by using enough water so that it starts to come out of
the hole in the bottom of the container. (This is why it is important to
use containers with drainage holes.) How often you water depends on a
lot of things. Plant size, time of the year, and type of plant are a
few. Your best guide, though, is to feel the soil. If you stick your
finger one inch into the soil and it is dry, then water your plant.

 Air

Plants use carbon dioxide in the air and return oxygen. Smoke, gases, and other air pollutants can damage plants.

 Nutrients

Most of the nutrients that a plant needs are dissolved in water and
then taken up by the plant through its roots. Fertilizers will help to
keep the soil supplied with nutrients a plant needs. Don't apply too
much too often. Fertilizer won't solve all of your plant problems, so
make sure your plants have good light, good soil, and good drainage. The
three most important nutrients are nitrogen, phosphorous, and
potassium.

 Nitrogen
is used for above ground growth. This is what gives plants a dark green
color. Phosphorous helps plant cell division. It aids in flower and
seed production and in the development of a strong root system.
Potassium helps fight off disease and provides for strong stems.

Methods to clone plants for Hydroponic Growing

It sounded artificial and complicated initially but it’s nothing much of a tough task. With just few tools, right mother plants and bit of focused work you can have an array of your favorite plants. I had followed this tutorial by The Hydroponics Shop on YouTube. It demonstrates the cutting method for cloning. I experimented with it for tomato plants and they come out as bad as I thought would be!

Cloning plants with Cutting Method:

Pre-Check: This is the foremost important step, unless you make sure that your mother plant is healthy, you shouldn’t proceed ahead. For your cuttings would carry the same infections as your mother plants if not checked before. A good tip that I read on Hydroponicsshop.com is that you will want to leach as much nitrogen from the mother plant as you can, by watering it with highly pH adjusted water (and no fertilizer). This helps the new plants to put out roots in search of that nitrogen.

Choosing Growing Medium: Mine was coco peat pot but people use perlite, vermiculite mix, Rapid Rooters, Oasis foam or Rockwool. You need to make holes at the bottom of your coco peat pots for good drainage. As coco peat holds enough water, you need to take care of the moisture levels while the roots begin to develop. They say to use pH balanced water to soak the growing medium but I had used distilled water and it works fine.

Sterilize: As shown in the video, you have to sterilize everything by rubbing alcohol, to your hands and cutting implements. This is critical, as cuttings are extremely susceptible to diseases and fungus until they put out roots. Also, sterilize a cup and fill it with rooting solution. You will need this in a bit

Choosing nodes: When choosing your cuttings be sure to cut stems with healthy leaves and no sign of disease or fungus. Stems should be about 5 inches long and make sure none of them show any sign of flowering. Flowers pull too much from the plant and will strangle the rooting process.

Cutting stems: With help of kitchen knife of razor blade, cut your clone stems from the mother plant at roughly a 45-degree angle, leaving about 5 inches of stem. Remove any low hanging leaves that would be under the growing medium. The key here is to work quickly and get the cutting into the cup of rooting solution as soon as possible before the newly cut stem has a chance to interact with the air and close up.

Let your cuttings soak in your hormone solution for about a minute. If you are using cloning gel, just dip the cutting in the gel to seal the end. Then stick the cutting into the hole in your growing medium, gently packing the medium up around the cutting.

Place the cuttings under a grow light and mist with distilled water. Water them about twice a day, either from above or by soaking the growing trays with holes in the bottom in another set of trays without holes, filled with water for about 30 seconds. When your clones have established a root system, you are ready to transfer them to a hydroponic system.

The other two methods are grafting and layering.

Grafting: The grafting plant cloning process involves blending two plants, to create a new plant. Although people frequently use it to clone trees, you can use other plants as well. Gardeners often use this technique to compensate for a weak top or trunk section of a plant. By fusing it with a plant that has a stronger trunk or top, the cloned plant will be superior to the parent plant that had a particular weakness.

Layering: This natural method of cloning involves promoting the plant’s roots to grow on the parent plant’s stem, and then removing them. Here, the gardener bends the stem into a medium for growing. Shortly afterwards, the stem will sprout roots and then grow as a completely new plant.

Category Resource:
wholesale led grow lights, buy led grow lights

Where did the water polluted ？

Sources of drinking water and public beaches become polluted by overflowing sewage systems, runoff from roads, lawns, farms, and industrial sites.

Toxic Chemicals

Perchlorate, a rocket fuel, has been found in tap water in many cities. Perchlorate is a carcinogen that is a serious threat to human health and our clean water resources. Arsenic has also been found in tap water. It may cause birth defects, cancer and reproductive problems.

Sewage

During heavy rains, sewage systems can overflow and release sewage and industrial waste. Untreated or partially treated sewage wastewater contains human waste and chemicals. Untreated sewage contains bacteria and pathogens. People can get sick from drinking water contaminated by harmful bacteria.

Fertilizers

Fertilizers such as phosphate pollute lakes and streams. Fertilizers are used for lawns and gardens and are a major source of phosphates in the water. Fertilizers end up on roads, driveways and sideways. When it rains, the fertilizer gets washed into storm drains and ends up in lakes and rivers. The high phosphate levels can cause too much algae and water weeds to grow in lakes and rivers.

Pesticides

Pesticides are chemicals that are used in farming to kill insects and weeds. When pesticides get into ground water that is used for drinking water, they may cause health problems. Pesticides can get into ground water after they are applied to the crops from improper disposal, seepage and accidental spills. Pesticides can seep down into aquifers under the crop fields.

Water is an essential nutrient for the human body. Even though we can not see it, more than half of our bodies are made up of water. Protect water is to protect yourself. Therefore, take action from us, use less toxic Chemicals and pesticides, keep the place clean.

When is the right time to plant roses for your lover ？

What kinds of flowers do you like ? Lily? Narcissus? Rose ......

I like rose, and rose says: In ancient Greek mythology, rose in a collection of love and beauty, and beauty is the embodiment of god, and dissolve into the blood of love. Rose is used to express the universal language of love. Rose stands for love, but different color, the number of roses auspicious meaning. And in every valentine's day, roses become more and more expensive, why not plant roses by yourself in your garden ? It's more sense for your friends. But when is the best time to plant roses?

This is an important matter for many gardeners since time, energy and money are invested and they may be wasted if there is no proper timing. In particular, if you are located in a country that enjoys four seasons, like the US, roses must be planted at a very definite time.

One of the best traits of rose plants is that it can grow almost everywhere. In a sense, rose planting is not reliant on the place, but on the climate zone. Basically, it just proper timing. If you live in a country that has cold season, the best time to plant roses is in early springs. It is important that the soil where you are planning to grow your rose is no longer ice-covered.

If your place enjoys warm weather similar to California and Florida, the perfect time to plant your roses is when the weather condition is not extremely hot. In general, this is from December to January, or during fall or late fall. During these months, the temperature and weather are just perfect which is ideal for growing roses.

If you are unaware of the proper timing for planting roses, you may ask help from your local nurseries for further guidelines and advice. Local nurseries are experts on plant farming, and they may be able to provide you unique, and sometimes limited, facts about rose plant propagation.

Aside from knowing the right timing, rose planting also relies on where they are originally planted: either in a pot or on the ground. If it planted in a pot, there are a few things you must know in order to carefully transfer the plant from the pot to your garden. Your rose plants should have already been prepared one week before the date of transfer. You must reduce the quantity of water you provide for your plant. This process is known as hardening. On the day of replanting, water both the soil in the pot and in the ground. This will make the root soil maintain its firmness.

If you reside somewhere in the southwest, south or west coast of the United States, the recommended period for growing roses is from January to February because the temperature is just right. If your place has a lengthy period of warm or cold climate, the best period for rose planting is between late fall and early spring. If you are in a location where cold climate lasts for several months, the best time to plant roses is in spring.

Generally, the best season of the year to plant roses is during spring. This is because the water supply is sufficient and the weather is great. If your rose plant has sprouted roots within this season, it has a higher success rate and better chance of surviving during the weather extremities of summer and winter.

Nonetheless, if springtime is far from now, it can still plant your rose in the summer. Just make sure that you provide sufficient water for the plant. Right amount of water will keep the soil moist and avoid dryness. Additionally, keep your rose from too much sun exposure. You may place your rose plant under a shade to lessen the heat and to avoid dryness.

If you want to plant a lot of roses in winter, you can use led grow light, no matter in summer or other seasons, you can also plant beautiful flowers for your loves. If you need it, you can pick one in www.msledstore.com

Bring your sincere love to your lover with the roses, which you planted personally. He or she might be deeply touch. Believe it or not. Try it.

Cilley's story

Brandon Twp.-Long after T.J. Cilley's proposed Eagle Scout project is completed, it will continue to grow.

Cilley, 18, a Brandon High School senior, recently completed a 20 feet-by-30 feet community garden behind Harvey Swanson Elementary School. The future food plot, complete with a wooden fence, available irrigation and tilled soil, will not only help feed a few local residents that may desire some fresh produce, but also will grow some science knowledge for students.

"I attended HT Burt Elementary," said Cilley, a member of Ortonville Scout Troop 139 and Pack 135. "I received a great deal of support from friends and family along with the school. The students participated in the project so they could learn about nutrition and science in the curriculum."

Cilley said many donations from the community were received to get the garden started.

Despite some rather cold weather, which featured mid-May snowflakes last week, students planted a variety of crops in the community garden.

Jessica Hevel, kindergarten teacher at Harvey Swanson for the past five years, had suggested the community garden project to Cilley. "I was in a field placement assignment as a middle school teacher in the Pontiac District about six years ago and they had a community garden," she said. "The students there kept the garden going after the school was dismissed for the summer. If they needed food they could just help themselves to it—so I figured we could do that here in Ortonville."

Hevel, who admits she is not a gardener, does have a passion for organic foods.

"I really wanted to emphasize nutrition to the students, along with having fun with gardens," she said. "But I really had to call on Wojo's Greenhouse to figure out just what to plant and when to plant it. As a result the students were very proud of the project. Most of the classes talked about the needs of plants and with the help of some grow lights we had some nice looking plants to start."

While most of the crops will be ready when the students are gone on summer vacation, Hevel said the garden is open to whoever wants the fresh vegetables.

"All we ask is, pull a few weeds and or maybe water a few plants if something is picked," she said.

"But, the public is welcome to use whatever they find."
Even if parts
of your garden are in total shade, there are a variety of plants that can flourish.

3.
Stir the soil
Dig and churn up all of the packed dirt about 3 feet down. Then, build a box and fill it with good soil.

4.
Plant seeds
This is the basic step , I think all of you can do it.
Air Pollution Continues to be A Global Problem

Air pollution is a reality in today industrialized, technologically advanced world. It includes all contaminants in the atmosphere in the form of gases or particles and found both indoors and outdoors. Humans breathe in up to 20,000 liters of air per day, with the risk of inhaling hazardous chemicals which ironically are largely caused by human activity itself.

One aspect of humanity that contributes to air pollution is industrialization. The primary cause, it has allowed fossil fuels such as oil, gas, and coal to contaminate the atmosphere. Population growth also plays a big role; more people, more resource consumption. Globalization is deemed as an effective facilitator of air pollution, causing industry facilities to accumulate in cheap labor countries and creating ollution havens?

These three fundamental causes of air pollution permit all kinds of air pollutants from fossil fuels to waft in the atmosphere. One of this is Sulfur Oxide (SO2), majorly emitted by power generation for public electricity and heat production such as power plants. The use of energy for the manufacture of products, from construction to consumer goods, releases much SO2. This pollutant causes respiratory and cardiovascular illnesses.

Nitrogen Oxides (NOx) is a pollutant produced out of fossil fuel combustion such as power generation and motor vehicles. Motor vehicles alone emit over 24,471 Gg, with the United States, China, Brazil, India and Russia as the largest producers of NOx in the world. High levels of NOx can be harmful and even fatal for humans, animals and plants; good thing in vehicles possess catalytic converters that reduce hazardous emissions.

The extremely toxic gas, Carbon Monoxide (CO), is a product of incomplete fossil fuel combustion. This gas affects the blood ability to carry oxygen and CO poisoning is fatal. effectively help minimize CO emissions and lessen the risks it brings.

Human life is presently dependent on activities that produce all kinds of pollutants. Fossil fuels are seemingly needed for the production of goods and for daily functioning. It is fortunate that exhaust systems, , and many other devices help regulate air pollution. Hopefully, sprouting alternative energy sources and industry processes will be patronized globally, not having to let the atmosphere and all living things within it suffer from air pollution.
